totalitarisme, de la libert\u00e9 politique et de la condition humaine.<br>N\u00e9e en Allemagne dans une famille juive, elle fuit le nazisme en 1933 puis s\u2019installe aux \u00c9tats-Unis en 1941.<br>\u00c9l\u00e8ve de Martin Heidegger et de Karl Jaspers, elle d\u00e9veloppe une pens\u00e9e originale centr\u00e9e sur l\u2019action politique et la responsabilit\u00e9 individuelle.<br>Dans son ouvrage majeur, Les Origines du totalitarisme, elle \u00e9tudie les r\u00e9gimes nazi et stalinien comme formes nouvelles de domination totale.<br>Elle montre comment l\u2019isolement des individus et la propagande favorisent ces syst\u00e8mes.<br>Son livre La Condition de l\u2019homme moderne distingue le travail, l\u2019\u0153uvre et l\u2019action, cette derni\u00e8re \u00e9tant au c\u0153ur de la libert\u00e9 politique.<br>Arendt insiste sur l\u2019importance de l\u2019espace public, du d\u00e9bat et de la pluralit\u00e9 des opinions dans la d\u00e9mocratie.<br>Lors du proc\u00e8s du criminel nazi Adolf Eichmann, elle formule la c\u00e9l\u00e8bre id\u00e9e de la \u00ab banalit\u00e9 du mal \u00bb : des individus ordinaires peuvent commettre des crimes extr\u00eames par conformisme et absence de r\u00e9flexion critique.<br>Sa pens\u00e9e interroge la responsabilit\u00e9 morale, l\u2019ob\u00e9issance et les dangers des id\u00e9ologies.<br>Aujourd\u2019hui, Hannah Arendt reste une r\u00e9f\u00e9rence essentielle en philosophie politique et dans l\u2019analyse des d\u00e9mocraties contemporaines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
