Rawls<\/strong> (1921-2002) est l\u2019un des principaux philosophes politiques contemporains, connu pour sa th\u00e9orie de la justice.<br>Dans son ouvrage majeur, A Theory of Justice, il cherche \u00e0 d\u00e9finir les principes d\u2019une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 juste et d\u00e9mocratique.<br>Il imagine une \u00ab position originelle \u00bb o\u00f9 des individus choisissent les r\u00e8gles sociales derri\u00e8re un \u00ab voile d\u2019ignorance \u00bb, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire sans conna\u00eetre leur future place dans la soci\u00e9t\u00e9.<br>Selon lui, cette m\u00e9thode conduit \u00e0 adopter des principes \u00e9quitables pour tous.<br>Rawls formule deux grands principes de justice :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les in\u00e9galit\u00e9s \u00e9conomiques et sociales ne sont acceptables que si elles b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient aux plus d\u00e9favoris\u00e9s (\u00ab principe de diff\u00e9rence \u00bb).<br>Sa pens\u00e9e d\u00e9fend donc une \u00e9galit\u00e9 des chances r\u00e9elle et un \u00c9tat garantissant la justice sociale.<br>Il s\u2019oppose \u00e0 l\u2019utilitarisme, qui peut sacrifier les int\u00e9r\u00eats de certains au profit du plus grand nombre.<br>Rawls a profond\u00e9ment influenc\u00e9 la philosophie politique, l\u2019\u00e9thique et les d\u00e9bats modernes sur la d\u00e9mocratie et les in\u00e9galit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
