J.-C.) est l\u2019un des fondateurs majeurs de la philosophie occidentale.<br>Disciple de Socrate et ma\u00eetre de Aristote, il fonde \u00e0 Ath\u00e8nes l\u2019Acad\u00e9mie, souvent consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme la premi\u00e8re grande \u00e9cole philosophique d\u2019Occident.<br>Son \u0153uvre est principalement compos\u00e9e de dialogues mettant en sc\u00e8ne Socrate.<br>Platon cherche \u00e0 d\u00e9finir la v\u00e9rit\u00e9, la justice, le bien et la connaissance.<br>Il d\u00e9veloppe la th\u00e9orie des Id\u00e9es : les r\u00e9alit\u00e9s sensibles sont changeantes, tandis que les Id\u00e9es (comme le Beau ou le Juste) sont \u00e9ternelles et parfaites.<br>Selon lui, le monde visible n\u2019est qu\u2019une copie imparfaite du monde intelligible.<br>Le mythe de la caverne, dans le livre VII de <em>La R\u00e9publique<\/em>, illustre cette opposition entre illusion et connaissance.<br><math
