logique, th\u00e9ologie et m\u00e9taphysique dans un syst\u00e8me coh\u00e9rent.<br>En math\u00e9matiques, il d\u00e9veloppe ind\u00e9pendamment le calcul infinit\u00e9simal, dont la notation moderne (\u222b, d\/dx) vient largement de lui.<br>Il est aussi pr\u00e9curseur de l\u2019informatique gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son int\u00e9r\u00eat pour le syst\u00e8me binaire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sa philosophie repose sur l\u2019id\u00e9e des \u00ab monades \u00bb, substances simples qui composent la r\u00e9alit\u00e9.<br>Chaque monade refl\u00e8te l\u2019univers \u00e0 sa mani\u00e8re, sans interaction directe avec les autres.<br>Dieu assure leur coordination par une \u00ab harmonie pr\u00e9\u00e9tablie \u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Leibniz affirme que notre monde est \u00ab le meilleur des mondes possibles \u00bb, car Dieu, \u00eatre parfait, a choisi la combinaison la plus harmonieuse.<br>Il d\u00e9fend aussi le principe de raison suffisante : rien n\u2019existe sans raison explicable.<br>Son rationalisme prolonge celui de Ren\u00e9 Descartes tout en influen\u00e7ant fortement Immanuel
