\u00e0 travers les symboles, les textes et l\u2019action.<br>Dans <em>Le Conflit des interpr\u00e9tations<\/em>, il montre que toute compr\u00e9hension suppose une pluralit\u00e9 de sens.<br>Il dialogue avec la psychanalyse, le structuralisme et les sciences humaines sans r\u00e9duire l\u2019homme \u00e0 une structure impersonnelle.<br>Son concept d\u2019\u00ab identit\u00e9 narrative \u00bb affirme que chacun construit son identit\u00e9 par les r\u00e9cits qu\u2019il fait de sa vie.<br>Dans Temps et r\u00e9cit, il analyse le r\u00f4le du r\u00e9cit dans notre exp\u00e9rience du
