philosophie moderne.<br>Il cherche une m\u00e9thode universelle pour atteindre des v\u00e9rit\u00e9s certaines, inspir\u00e9e de la rigueur des math\u00e9matiques.<br>Dans son \u0153uvre majeure, Discours de la m\u00e9thode, il propose de douter de tout ce qui peut \u00eatre mis en question : c\u2019est le \u00ab doute m\u00e9thodique \u00bb.<br>De ce doute \u00e9merge une certitude fondamentale : \u00ab Je pense, donc je suis \u00bb (cogito ergo sum).<br>Le sujet pensant devient ainsi le fondement de la connaissance.<br>Descartes distingue deux substances : l\u2019\u00e2me (pens\u00e9e) et le corps (mati\u00e8re) ; cette th\u00e9orie est appel\u00e9e dualisme.<br>Il consid\u00e8re la raison comme la facult\u00e9 essentielle de l\u2019\u00eatre humain.<br>La v\u00e9rit\u00e9 doit \u00eatre obtenue par des id\u00e9es claires et distinctes.<br>En sciences, il d\u00e9fend une vision m\u00e9caniste de la nature : le monde fonctionne selon des lois math\u00e9matiques.<br>Il contribue aussi aux math\u00e9matiques avec la g\u00e9om\u00e9trie analytique et le rep\u00e8re cart\u00e9sien.<br>Sa pens\u00e9e influence profond\u00e9ment la philosophie, notamment le rationalisme moderne.<br>Les philosophes Baruch Spinoza, Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz ou encore Immanuel Kant dialogueront avec son h\u00e9ritage.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div
