J.-C., il intervient dans une cit\u00e9 marqu\u00e9e par les in\u00e9galit\u00e9s sociales et les conflits entre riches propri\u00e9taires et petits paysans endett\u00e9s.<br>\u00c9lu archonte en 594 av. J.-C., il met en place des r\u00e9formes politiques et \u00e9conomiques majeures.<br>Il abolit l\u2019esclavage pour dettes et annule de nombreuses cr\u00e9ances afin de r\u00e9duire les tensions sociales.<br>Son objectif est d\u2019\u00e9tablir un \u00e9quilibre entre le pouvoir des aristocrates et les droits du peuple.<br>Il classe les citoyens selon leur richesse plut\u00f4t que leur naissance, ouvrant ainsi l\u2019acc\u00e8s politique \u00e0 davantage d\u2019Ath\u00e9niens.<br>Ses r\u00e9formes pr\u00e9parent les bases de la future d\u00e9mocratie ath\u00e9nienne.<br>Solon insiste sur la mod\u00e9ration, la justice et la mesure, valeurs centrales de sa pens\u00e9e morale.<br>Pour lui, l\u2019exc\u00e8s et l\u2019orgueil conduisent toujours au d\u00e9sordre et au malheur.<br>Il consid\u00e8re que la bonne cit\u00e9 repose sur des lois justes plut\u00f4t que sur la force.<br>Po\u00e8te, il exprime aussi ses id\u00e9es politiques dans ses vers, m\u00ealant
