Selon lui, l\u2019homme est totalement libre, mais cette libert\u00e9 implique une responsabilit\u00e9 absolue. Cette <strong>libert\u00e9 <\/strong>peut provoquer l\u2019angoisse, car chacun doit donner un sens \u00e0 sa vie sans rep\u00e8re divin ou moral universel. Sartre d\u00e9veloppe ces id\u00e9es dans son \u0153uvre philosophique majeure, L&rsquo;\u00catre et le N\u00e9ant. Il d\u00e9crit aussi la \u00ab mauvaise foi \u00bb, attitude consistant \u00e0 fuir sa libert\u00e9 en se cachant derri\u00e8re des r\u00f4les sociaux.<br>Son <strong>existentialisme <\/strong>est li\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019engagement politique et social : l\u2019intellectuel doit agir dans son \u00e9poque.<br>Compagnon de Simone de Beauvoir, il participe aux grands d\u00e9bats du XXe si\u00e8cle.<br>Il soutient plusieurs causes r\u00e9volutionnaires et anticoloniales, notamment pendant la guerre d\u2019Alg\u00e9rie.<br>En litt\u00e9rature, il \u00e9crit des romans, des pi\u00e8ces de th\u00e9\u00e2tre et des essais, comme La Naus\u00e9e et Huis clos.<br>Sa formule c\u00e9l\u00e8bre \u00ab L\u2019enfer, c\u2019est les autres \u00bb exprime la difficult\u00e9 des relations humaines et du regard d\u2019autrui.<br>En 1964, il refuse le prix Nobel de litt\u00e9rature 1964 pour pr\u00e9server son ind\u00e9pendance intellectuelle.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div
